Meet the coaches at DRFC....

Rich Hudd

Club Secretary

FA Licensed Coach Rich has been with Dilton Rovers Youth since 2013 club secretary. Rich is passionate about training and mentoring our players and wholeheartedly believes that every player, whatever their background, should have the opportunity to grow, progress, develop and shine through football. 

​

The club would simply not exist without Rich and his drive and endless commitment to ensure that it is the best it can be and that the players are the best they can be as a result.

Ian Philps

Club Welfare officer, U11 Manager, U11 girls assistant manager and Wildcats head coach

Ian is the U11 mixed team manager and driving force behind Diltons Girls set up. Ian also keeps the players, parents and club community safe by implementing and overseeing our child safeguarding policy in his vital role as welfare officer.

Ian is always on hand to answer any queries you may have regarding safeguarding and is a well liked, enthusiastic and passionate coach that loves nothing more than seeing the children enjoy themselves, with a smile on their faces.

Steve Johnson

U11 Girls Manager

Steve brings a wealth of experience from his time coaching military and civilian teams, Steve is an enthusiastic advocate of the girls game, when he is not coaching he loves nothing more  than supporting his team Bristol City from the terraces

Hi, I’m Martin, and I help out with the Dilton Rovers U11’s team. I really enjoy being part of this fantastic club and watching the players develop their skills, confidence, and love for football. It’s great to see their teamwork and enthusiasm grow each week, and I’m proud to support such a brilliant group of young players

Mel Stevens

Wildcats Coach and Femail role model

As well as being one of our wildcats coaches Mel is also our female role model helping to support our young girls through their football journey and breaking down barriers in what is traditionally a male dominated sport

Nick Whyte

U11 Girls assistant Coach

I’m Nick, After finishing playing my late 20s and coaching adults on and off for over 20 years, I’m now loving the chance to help my daughter and her teammates develop their skills and passion for the game. For me, it’s all about building confidence, learning new things, and most importantly — enjoying football for life.

Chris Fellows

Wildcats Coach

Hi I'm Chris, In 2018 after taking my son along to train for his first club, I uttered those words ‘I used to play a bit and don’t mind helping’ I now manage 2 teams am vice chairman at Westbury youth and coach across 3 clubs! Love it!

I’ve been helping out at Dilton since my daughter joined - it’s a fantastic club with opportunities for boys and girls to enjoy this crazy sport.

Tim Deacon

Wildcats Coach

Tim is a well liked coach who is able to connect with the girls at there level he is always enthusiastic and supportive, and always ready to go that extra mile to make sure the wildcats understand the activity they are asked to carry out and that everyone is having fun.
